A family member sent me this article that really intrigued me. Basically, the author recommends listening to nothing but Handel for a week. Then listen to a Mozart or Haydn symphony. Suddenly, you will realize how innovative these "new" composers on the scene were. After that, try Mozart or Haydn for a week, then move on to Beethoven's Eroica Symphony (No. 3), and again you will see how almost radical Beethoven was for his times.
